  • K&N’s Bologna Slices - 14-16 slices
  • Cheddar cheese slices - as required
  • Tomatoes - 1 cup; sliced
  • Green capsicum - 1 cup; sliced
  • Bread - 1 loaf
  • Basil Mayo - as required

  • For Bread:

  • Yeast - 4 tsp
  • Warm water - 3/4 cup
  • Granulated sugar - 1/4 cup
  • Salt - 1 tbsp
  • Warm water - 2 cups
  • Butter unsalted - 3 tbsp; at room temperature
  • All-purpose flour - 5 cups
  • Butter melted - 2 tbsp

  • For Basil Mayo:

  • Mayonnaise - 2 cup
  • Parmesan cheese - 1 cup
  • Basil - 1 tbsp; freshly chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper powder - 2 tsp
  • White pepper powder - 1 tsp
Method

Cut the top off the bread and hollow it out.

Thaw K&N’s Bologna Slices as per instructions on pack.

Spread the basil mayonnaise on inside of the bread evenly.

To layer, start with K&N’s Bologna Slices, top it with cheddar cheese slices, bell peppers and tomatoes.

Add basil mayonnaise and repeat the layers again.

Add one more layer of K&N’s Bologna Slices on top, spread basil mayo on the lid of bread and cover it.

Bake in a preheated oven for 3 to 4 minutes at 180 degrees or until cheese melts.

Slice it like a cake into segments and serve.

For Bread:

Take 3/4 cup of warm water, dissolve yeast and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes.

In a bowl, add 3 cups all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, butter, 2 cups warm water and stir to combine.

Add the remaining flour until the dough is soft and tacky, but not sticky. Continue to knead until a soft ball of dough forms and clears the sides of the bowl.

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let it proof until it rises double in size, for about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Turn the dough out onto a clean, lightly floured surface. Gently press it all over to remove any air pockets. Gently pat it into a rectangle shape.

Grease baking dish with butter and transfer dough to it.

Brush dough with some more butter and bake in a preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes at 180 degrees or until golden brown.

Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes.

For Basil Mayo:

In a bowl mix all ingredients until well combined. Your spread is ready, set aside.
